Health&Safety  

The health of our people is fundamental to our business success. We need to understand the potential for health risks and establish suitable alleviation measures to reduce the incidence of organisational and societal health problems. In other words, the Group is committed to do all that is reasonably practicable to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all its employees and the general public in so far as they come into contact with the Group or its services. The objectives of this policy are to:

  • Comply with all relevant legal requirements relating to health, safety and welfare at work;
  • Provide and maintain a healthy and safe working environment;
  • Ensure all employees receive adequate training in the safety aspects of their work;
  • Make available all necessary safety devices and protective equipment together with information relating to the health, safety and welfare of the employees; and
  • Ensure that all employees are kept fully aware of their responsibilities under this policy and that an effective employer/employee consultation facility exists.

Every employee has a responsibility for his own or her own safety and for the safety of others and a duty to co-operate with the employer by:

  • working safely following specified codes of practice;
  • use protective equipment provided;
  • complying with all safety procedures;
  • report all health and safety concerns to an appropriate person;
  • co-operate with supervisors and managers on health and safety matters;
  • To take care of their own health and safety and that of other persons who could be affected by their actions.

Preventative and corrective mitigation measures are constantly being implemented to eliminate the underlying causes and hazards of all health risks, thus ensuring a better environment for our employees and customers.
